Heroin dealer arrested at Bang Na hotel

A THAI man and three Taiwanese nationals were arrested yesterday for allegedly possessing about 200 kilograms of heroin, worth Bt426 million on the street, and trying to smuggle it out of the country.

Police arrested Supadet Booncharoen, 40, in the parking lot of the Maple Hotel on Srinakharin Road in Bang Na district at 9.30am after finding 426 kilograms of heroin packed in six suitcases in a car that allegedly belonged to the suspect.
Police moved in after receiving a tip that Supadet was smuggling drugs from the North to Bangkok. The suspect had allegedly set up a meeting with the Taiwanese nationals at the hotel, where he checked in and left his car in the parking lot.
The Taiwanese were scheduled to fly home at 11am, police said.
