The Bank of Thailand's Monetary Policy Committee is likely to maintain the policy rate at 2.5 per cent when they convene on August 21, according to Kasikorn Research Centre.
The house attributed that to the positive momentum of economic improvement in developed economies. This should give a boost to the global economy and trade in the second half. It should also ease the negative impacts from China's economic slowdown.
