Train services suspended for second day

With 10 trains cancelled on the route from Bangkok to Thailand's south, officials at Songkhla's Hat Yai Train Station took the opportunity of a quiet Wednesday to organise a "Big Cleaning Day" event to clean and maintain all trains so that they are ready

The suspension of train services continued for a second day with the rubber growers’ protest still blocking a section of track in Nakhon Si Thammarat and no solution in sight.
Although train services in Phattalung, Songkhla’s Hat Yai City and three southernmost provinces were still operating, many people shifted to other form of public transportation for convenience.
