Complaint accuses 2 Democrats of tarnishing country's image

The lawyer of the red-shirt Democratic Alliance against Dictatorship yesterday filed a petition asking the Ombudsman to launch an investigation against two Democrat MPs for allegedly assaulting and intimidating on-duty police officers at a House of Repres

In the petition handed to the Office of the Ombudsman’s spokesman Rakkecha Chaechai, Thanadet Puangpun accused Surat Thani MP Thani Thueksuban and Uthai Thani MP Kulladej Puapattanakul of failing to comply with regulations and assaulting on-duty police officials on August 20. The petition said the MPs had violated Parliament Directives 11 and 16, brought disgrace to the House and tarnished the country’s image.
Rakkecha said he would present the petition to the Ombudsman soon.
