Four police were killed in an ambush in Pattani’s Thungyangdang district Wednesday as they were reportedly on duty to gather intelligence information about oil smuggling.
Initial investigation showed five to seven armed men riding on a pickup followed police’s vehicle and fired at them. The four comprised two captain-level and two non-commissioned police.
