According to Interbrand's Best global Brands report released on September 30, Apple is now the new No.1 brand, with the brand value of US$98.3 billion.
In the annual report, Interbrand said that with Apple claiming the top position this year, Google jumps to the No.2 with the value of $93.29 billion.
Ranked No.3, Coca-Cola's brand is tuned at $79.2 billion.
This year, the total value of all 100 Best Global Brands is $1.5 trillion - an 8.4 percent record increase over the total value of the 100 Best Global Brands in 2012.
The consulting firm said that despite having its reputation tarnished by patent spats with Samsung and the Foxconn labor conditions scandal, the Apple brand proved to be resilient and emerged as not only the leader in this year’s Best Global Brands report, but also a top riser. In addition to being resilient, Apple is also prescient – continually anticipating what consumers will want next.
"To maintain its No.1 position over the next year, Apple will have to slow rival Samsung’s momentum in the mobile market and never lose sight of what it does best: “Think different.”" it said.
