Roadshow on Bt2-tn loan bill hits TV

The "Prime Minister Yingluck Meets the People" television programme yesterday featured the government's roadshow on its Bt2-trillion loan package, held at the Nong Khai City Hall.

At the roadshow, entitled “Thailand Tomorrow 2020”, Transport Minister Chadchart Sittipunt said the Bt2-trillion in loans for transport projects, including high-speed train lines and a double rail system, would work out to be very beneficial for the Thai economy.
He said many people had asked him to hurry up the high-speed train project – which will link Thailand to Laos and China’s Kunming City – so “One Tambon One Product” goods, such as the naem neung sausage, could be exported to China.
Nong Khai Governor Wirat Limsuwat said the project would help boost his province’s transport system and further enhance the tourism industry. It would also attract more investors to Nong Khai, he said.
