Narathiwat bomb death toll rises to 2

The death toll from Saturday's roadside bombing in Narathiwat rose to two yesterday.

Ranger Asman Jeh-ama succumbed to his wounds in the morning after the first ranger died on Saturday.
Security officials suspect that Manu Mama, a man on the run, was responsible for this attack. They have launched a manhunt in Ra Ngae district.
The other victims – four rangers and five reporters – are all in safe condition, but some will require more surgery.
In Yala’s Raman district, security officials acting on tip-offs from locals arrested a 50-year-old man believed to have led some insurgents in staging violent incidents in the deep South.
The suspect insisted he did nothing wrong.
