He received a complaint from Pheu Thai spokesman Prompong Nopparit, seeking an investigation into the list of 20 people and private companies that have allegededly given financial supports to People’s Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC). The complaint was also submitted to the Anti-Money Laundering Office (AMLO).
AMLO secretary general Seehanat Prayoonrat meanwhile said he would check if Prompong had enclosed the names of 20 financiers, adding that there must be sufficient evidence to freeze their financial support.
Prompong said the financiers should stop their support now that a general election has been officially announced.
“The DSI and AMLO must take legal action against the financiers, or they could be charged with ignoring their duties,” he said. The government has set the general election for February 2.
