Pheu Thai Party's Somchai Wongsawat said that all the parties would later notify the EC of their decision in writing.
At today's meeting, the parties supported the election on February 2, saying that this is the true return of power to the people, according to former prime minister Banharn Silapa-archa.
They also suggested the EC change the registration venue without telling them in advance, to avoid protesters' siege.
Thai anti-government protesters on Wednesday stormed at the entrance to a sport gymnasium in an attempt to disrupt the election registration in Bangkok.
They were also there on Tuesday.
