The 29 Pheu Thai members failed to register to contest the election in eight southern provinces following strong protests by supporters of the People’s Democratic Reform Committee.
The Pheu Thai members had their lawyer, Narawit Lalaeng, file the complaint with the Supreme Court’s Election Division.
Their complaint stated that they had done their part to register their candidacy but the Election Commission failed to register them as the candidates.
As a result, they would like the court to endorse their right to contest the election.
