US stocks closed&nbsp;mixed on uneven corporate earnings,weighed down by&nbsp;IBM and Texas Instruments shares.

	Dow Jones Industrial Average index fell&nbsp;41.10 points, 0.3 percent, to 16,373.34. 
	S&amp;P 500 gained 1.06 point, or 0.1 percent, to 1,844.86, with materials stocks as&nbsp;performing weakest while&nbsp;energy shares were&nbsp;the strongest of the 10 major sectors. 
	Nasdaq composite gained&nbsp;17.24 points, or 0.4 per cent at&nbsp;4,243.
