Yutthapol Pathomsatit, 50, told police he was sleeping at his store when he heard noises like shots being fired at 2.45am. He went out to see what happened and found the metal gate was full of bullet holes and windows shattered, so he called police.
Pol Lieutenant Chukri Praduka from Muang Ratchaburi Police Station was told by witnesses that a car was seen outside the shop before the shots were heard and the sedan sped away. He collected two 9mm bullets from the shop.
Yutthapol said he suspected the attack stemmed from his role in leading protesters to surround City Hall and state offices and in protesting against the Mae Khlong River floodway project.
