Facebook boss gets 1-dollar annual salary
San Francisco - Facebook founder and chief executive Mark Zukerberg is following in the footsteps of other tech giants like Apple's co-founder Steve Jobs and Google founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page - he took a salary cut to just 1 dollar per year in 2
Zuckerberg can afford the meagre wages. The value of his Facebook stock is around 27 billion dollars, according to US financial magazine Forbes.
Other Facebook executives earned far higher salaries than Zuckerberg.
Chief operating officer Sheryl Sandberg earned 16.1 million dollars, while chief financial officer David Ebermans took home 10.5 million dollars.
