Prem doubts Suthep, Yingluck would listen to him

Privy Council President Gen Prem Tinsulanonda on Thursday expressed doubt that caretaker Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra and protest leader Suthep Thaugsuban would listen to him if he stepped in to try to mediate between both sides of the political con
“Do you think they would listen to me?” Prem responded when asked by a reporter whether he would invite Suthep and Yingluck to talk.
When the reporter insisted that Prem was loved and respected by both sides and no one would be able to mediate talks between the two, Prem replied: “I am no exception”.
Reporters approached the Privy Council president for comment when he chaired an opening ceremony of a project that allows 240 youths from five southern border provinces to spend nearly a month with foster families in 10 central provinces.
Prem declined to comment on the political situation, saying only that he wished to see the media report in a way that benefited the country.
