Copenhagen's Christiansborg Palace opens tower for tourists
Hamburg - Copenhagen is opening the highest tower of its historic Old Town for the first time to visitors. The 106-metre-tall Christiansborg Palace Tower has not been a public amenity before, Visit Denmark said.
From the so-called Tarnet, visitors have a great view of the Danish capital, including city hall, the cathedral church, the Round Tower and the new harbour frontage. The tower is open from Tuesday to Thursday from 11 am to 9 pm.
There is also a restaurant in the tower. Christiansborg Palace also houses Denmark's Folketinget parliament.
