Troops detain eight energy reform activists in Surat Thani

Troops Tuesday detained eight activists who have been campaigning for energy prices restructuring.

They were taken to the Vibhavadi Rangsit Army camp in Surat Thani while they were marching from a waterfall to Kanchanadit district, about an hour after they started marching. The junta bans a political rally of more than five persons.
The eight activists started marching from the waterfall after another group of activists traveled from Koh Samui to hand over the energy reform flags to them.
