The sketches are of a black horse and a red horse, drawn in markers, on August 21 by Thawan during his visit to Ramkhamhaeng hospital, Doithibet said.
Some 3,000 copies of the images, on A4 paper to match the actual size of the sketches, will be distributed to mourners at Thawan’s funeral at 10am at Wat Dhepsirin, which will be presided over by HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.
Thawan suffered from a high blood sugar level – 737 when the normal level is 70-110, his son said. “My father was concerned at the time on whether he was going to be able to draw again, after being discharged from the hospital, that was why he drew these two paintings during the treatment,” he said.
