Deportation order against Satish Sehgal cancelled

The Civil Court yesterday annulled the deportation order against Indian businessman Satish Sehgal.
The order had been issued by then-interior minister Chalerm Yoobamrung over allegations that Sehgal had taken part in protests against the Pheu Thai government.
The court ruled that the process leading to the deportation order was biased and violated the Civil Court’s earlier order prohibiting the elected Pheu Thai government from announcing a state of emergency.
