NCPO selects five CDC members from junta's quota

The National Council for Peace and Order Tuesday selected five members of the constitution drafting committee from its quota.

The five are Sujit Boonbongkarn, former Constitutional Court judge, Charoon Inthacharn, former Constitutional Court president, Prsopsuk Boondet, former Senate speaker, Bancher Singkhaneti, dean of Faculty of Law of National Institute of Development Administration and Krit Kraijitti, former director-general of the Treaties and Legal Affairs.
The NCPO also selected Borwornsak Uwanno, the first vice president of the National Reform Council, as the chairman of the constitution drafting committee, ending speculation that he would be appointed. Borwornsak, the secretary-general of the King Prajadhipok’s Institute, was rumoured to be the future CDC chairman ever since his appointment to the NRC.
