Govt to boost fight against traffickers

THE THAILAND INSTITUTE OF JUSTICE has joined forces with the Attorney General's Office to find solutions to and speed up action on local human trafficking issues.

It hopes that if seriously challenged, the issues would be resolved within 13 years, said TIJ director Adisak Panupong Tuesday.
The solutions included: a database of human trafficking cases and human trafficking litigation; a seminar on judges’ roles in human trafficking suppression; and training for police and prosecutors to ensure justice and appropriate remedial measures for the victims, he added.
