U Place victims' families get another Bt50,000

Relatives of the 14 workers who were victims of the U Place condominium collapse in Pathum Thani province in August last year were given Bt50,000 each in compensation yesterday.
The compensation came as part of the PM’s Office’s support policy, and permanent-secretary ML Pannada Diskul said the money was handed out as a gesture of friendship.
It also came as a surprise to the relatives, as they did not know they were going to receive this payment.
