Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha Friday played down public concern that the investment cost for the construction of two routes of double-track railway would be too high.
Prayut said the project has not yet been inked with China and it would be monitored by five to six subcommittees. If the cost is too high, the government would abandon the cooperation with China and seek a new partner or bidder.
