ISOC spokesman says certain insurgents might be hired to carry out Surat attacks

Col Banphot Poolpian, spokesman of the Internal Security Operations Command, said certain insurgents from the deep South might be hired to carry out attacks in Surat Thani.
He was referring to the car bomb attack at the Samui Central department store and a fire at the Surat Thani Cooperative.
He said the ISOC has not receive any information that the southern insurgents would carry out attacks beyond the boundary of the three southern provinces. But, he said, it was possible that some of them might be hired by someone, who might have other motives, to carry out the attacks.
