“They have confessed,” Metropolitan Police commander Pol Lt-General Srivara Ransibrahmanakul told the press yesterday.
The identity of the suspects will not be revealed because they are under-age at between 16 and 17 years old.
The three suspects are believed to have left their ping-pong bombs in a garbage bin in Bangkok’s Bang Na district, which exploded on Tuesday morning when garbage collectors were sorting the trash. Three of the collectors were injured, one seriously.
The suspects, who were arrested right after the court approved the arrest warrants, have been handed over to Bang Na Police Station for further questioning.
“The victims are now in safe condition,” Deputy Metropolitan Police chief Maj-General Nipon Charoenphon said.
