Oil palm farmers protest at Krabi provincial hall

Some 200 oil palm farmers protested in front of the Krabi provincial hall at 11 am Thursday to demand the government to shore up the price of oil palm fruit to Bt5 per a kilogramme.
They took some 50 tonnes of the palm fruits in over ten trucks to the rally site and they unloaded the fruits from the two trucks in front of the hall. The farmers vowed to go on protesting until the government agreed to buy the palm fruits at the Bt5 rate.
