In his capacity as the project coordinating committee’s secretary, Sanya said the committee meeting yesterday was told the project’s survey had found eight temples, 36 public and private piers, six schools or restaurants, 19 important venues and 268 riverside homes would be affected.
Of the Bt14 billion, Bt500 million will be spent to compensate those affected as well as cover demolition expenses and public hearings, while the survey and design would cost Bt120 million, the actual construction Bt13.136 billion and Bt250 million will cover construction consultants, he said.
This plan would be proposed to the Cabinet for approval next week.
