94 Rohingya women, children protest at Surat Thani detention centre
Ninety-four Rohingya women and children protested at the detention center in Surat Thani's Mueang district at 9 pm, calling for their transport to Malaysia.
They were dissatisfied that officials would not allow them to take foods to eat in their living quarter. They broke the doors and windows of their living quarter and some 50 police officers took over two hours to control the situation. Five leaders of the protests were then separated from the rest of the detainees.
