Wage not included in Cabinet agenda

Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Krea-Ngam said Monday that he had no knowledge if minimum wage would be one of the Cabinet's meeting agenda tomorrow.

Wissanu said he has not yet received the meeting agenda.
He added that the ongoing discussion concerns the wage to be enforced next year.
There were reports that Bt300 minimum wage, taking effect during the Yingluck Shinawatra administration, would be abolished. Following strong opposition from academics and workers, a labour official today said the Bt300 minimum wage would stay. It would be the reference in the wage negotiation, indicating that the wage to take effect next year would be above Bt300.
