Body of slain Malaysian found in Narathiwat

The body of Malaysian national Nilee Binnima was discovered near a garbage pile in Narathiwat's Sungai Kolok district yesterday, police said.

The body of the 47-year-old had wounds to the head, shoulders and chest consistent with blows from a sharp object and it was estimated he had died about four hours before his body was found at 6am, said Lieutenant Surasak Phrommad of Sungai Kolok Police Station.
The police probe found that Binnima was from Kelatan state and had crossed the border into Thailand to either run errands or visit his wife but had a fight and was fatally attacked by locals who then disposed of the body.
