Thai shares down 1% on Greece fears

The Thai stock market today fell in line with regional movements on fears Greece will crash out of the eurozone.

At 11.12am, the SET index fell by 14.44 points or 0.95 per cent to 1,503.59.
According to Tisco Securities, the index could fall to 1,490-1,500 points. Yet, window dressing could push the index higher, with the resistance line at 1,520-1,525 points.
Greece called off debt reform talks and announced a referendum on creditors' proposals next weekend. The capital controls are imposed today, signalling that the country is prepared for ramifications from the default on an International Monetary Fund (IMF) loan which will come due tomorrow.
