23-year-old man jumps to his death from 16th floor of Saladaeng hotel

A 23-year-old man jumped to his death from his room on the 16th floor of a hotel on Soi Saldaeng 1 off Silom Road Thursday morning, police said.
Police said the body of Saran Duangmanee, a resident of Tak’s Mae Sot district, fell on the seventh floor of the Bandara Suites Silom Hotel.
Police was informed of the suicide at 9:30 am.
A maid told police that before the man jumped down he left the door to his room open and she saw him sitting on the room balcony crying.
She alerted the hotel’s senior staffs who rushed to the room to try to convince the man to come back into the room. But the man jumped down in front of the staffs.
