Public Health Minister Rajata Rajatanavin insisted Wednesday that a patient in Rayong simply got a seasonal flu, not a Middle East Respiratory Syndrome as widely rumoured in social networks.
Rajata said Thailand has been freed from MERS for two weeks.
It was also rumoured that another patient had died of MERS in the Rayong hospital. Rajata said the rumours had no ground.
