SCB to temporarily close ATM system for upgrade
Siam Commercial Bank will temporarily close its ATM system nationwide from 11 pm on Saturday to 5 am on Sunday to upgrade systems and increase the security of transactions performed through ATMs, the bank announced Monday.
During the process, customers will be unable to use ATM, debit, credit, or any other cards through any SCB ATM, while SCB cards cannot be used at other bank ATMs.
However, credit card customers will still be able to make payments to merchants through EDCs. SCB Easy Net, Easy App and UP2ME will continue to operate, but customers will only be able to make transfers within SCB, but not to other banks.
The bank advised its customers to make advance planning to avoid transactions during the system shut down.
