Interior officials get new posts

THE CABINET yesterday approved the reshuffle of 58 high-ranking officials at the Interior Ministry.

These officials will officially take up their new posts from October 1 onwards, Deputy Government Spokesman Werachon Sukondhapatipak said yesterday.
A key reshuffle is also planned for the Education Ministry.
Karun Sakulpradit, secretary-general of the Non-Formal and Informal Education Office, has been promoted to the post of general secretary of the Office of Basic Education Commission, replacing Kamol Rodklai, who will now become secretary-general of the Office of Education Council.
The Cabinet also promoted six other level 10 officials.
“These promotions are normal and are being done for the sake of suitability. For instance Kamol will replace Suthasri Wongsamarn, who retires at the end of September,” Education Minister General Dapong Rattanasuwan explained.
