Another ambush death in deep South

A man was shot dead yesterday morning in Narathiwat's Rangae district in an attack police believe may be related to southern unrest.

Following the report of the fatal shooting at about 10am, police found the body of villager Marusaning Binslae, 25, with three gunshot wounds to the head and the torso.
He was lying in a pool of blood next to a road in Ban Batu Buesa Moo 6 in Tambon Bango Sato.
His blue Honda Wave motorbike was toppled over four metres away.
Police collected three gun shells at the scene and sent the body to Ragnae Hospital for the autopsy.
The victim’s wife Suwaiba Wahae said she was riding a motorbike to the province’s Yi-ngor district for work and her husband was travelling behind her when he was shot dead in an attack launched from the back of a Mitsubishi pick-up truck, which sped away.
She said Marusaning’s parents were shot dead in a similar manner.
