Narcotics Suppression Bureau chief Pol Lt General Rewat Klinkesorn revealed the project Wednesday during a press conference to announce a recent drug arrest.
Chiang Mai native Jaras Pitiprakan, 33, was arrested while driving a car on Lampang-Phayao Road to allegedly transport 800,000 yaba pills and 20 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine from the North to the central province of Ayutthaya. Narcotics Suppression Sub-division 3 chief Pol Maj General Pornchai Charoenwong said Jaras’s arrest followed a three-month undercover operation to gain his trust until police could arrest him during a drug delivery.
