7 state agencies unite safety cooperation

Seven state enterprises have pledged to strengthen their safety measures.
They are PTT, Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand, Metropolitan Electricity Authority, Provincial Electricity Authority, The Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand, Airports of Thailand and Thai Airways International. Advising them will be the National Intelligence Agency.
These agencies signed the cooperation pact today and are committed to regular meetings. Their safety measures will be streamlined in line with global standards.
"Streamlining safety direction and goals of the organisations is the foundation towards greater assurance to the public and better position of Thailand's infrastructure," said Pipit Hongchinda, an executive of PTT.
