Wissanu reaffirms election deadline

Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Kreangam reaffirmed Thursday that the next general election will be held next year regardless of what solution is adopted if the charter draft is rejected in the referendum.
Wissanu said in order to highlight the significance of reform, the government wanted the Constitution Drafting Commission to make provisions on reform as a separate chapter and not just as provisional clauses as they appeared in the first charter draft presented by the Constitution Drafting Commission led by Meechai Ruchuphan.
