THURSDAY, MARCH 03, 2016

Former Pheu Thai Party’s MP Watana Muangsook on Thursday has been released on bail after placing assets worth Bt100,000 as a guarantee.

The court also also prohibited him from leaving the kingdom as part of the conditions for his release.

The one-time commerce minister Watana would also have to report himself periodically to the Bangkok South Criminal Court.

Some 10 supporters showed up at the court to give flowers and sending Watana moral support, besides his colleagues Phumtham Wechayachai and Kittiratt Na-Ranong.

He was charged with a computer crime act for allegedly putting false information into the computer as he posted on his Facebook criticism of deputy prime minister and National Council for Peace and Order’s (NCPO) key member Prawit Wongsuwan.
