JAS share trading halted

Jasmine International's share trading was halted after the company announced the Bt6 billion share buyback scheme.

The Stock Exchange of Thailand said that the "H" sign was posted to suspend the afternoon trading because the buyback price was not clearly specified in the plan.
JAS announced that it would buy back 1.43 billion shares, or 20 per cent of total issued shares, at estimated price of Bt5 apiece or a total of Bt6 billion.
In another form submitted to the SET, JAS said the price would be determined by shareholders who would convene at the annual meeting. The price would also take into account the 30-day average before the buyback would take place.
JAS was last traded today at Bt3.92, increasing by Bt0.82 or 26.45 per cent from the previous closing.
The "H" sign was lifted after the company notified the exchange that the board of directors would finalise the buyback price at the next meeting. It added that the Bt5 price is not yet final.
The share price ended the day at Bt3.70, still gaining Bt0.60 or 19.35 per cent from the previous trading day.
