Warrants sought for five more over SCB pyrogen-activating incident

Police are seeking arrest warrants for at least five more people in relation to the fire-fighting system malfunction on Sunday night at Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) headquarters, which killed eight people and injured seven others, acting Metropolitan Police
Sanit said yesterday morning that he had instructed investigators to gather more evidence to determine how individuals or companies might have contributed to the incident, which involves negligence leading to death and injury. He said police would submit requests for additional arrest warrants this afternoon.
Two executives of the firm Mega Planet, which won a bid to install a “Clean Agent” nitrogen fire-fighting system to replace the pyrogen system, have already been charged with negligence in the case.
