Police and soldiers will get a pay raise so their salaries are on par with that of civil servants, the Cabinet decided yesterday.
“The approval takes into account that we have already increased the pay rate for civil servants,” government spokesman Maj-General Sansern Kaewkamnerd said yesterday.
For example, police lieutenant-generals, lieutenant-generals, air vice marshals and vice admirals will see their monthly salaries rise from Bt74,320 to between Bt75,560 and Bt76,800.
Salaries for police major-generals, major-generals and rear admirals, meanwhile, will rise from Bt69,040 a month to between Bt70,360 and Bt74,320.
As for colonels, police colonels, group captains and Navy captains, salaries will rise from Bt58,390 to Bt59,500 a month.
