Money truck robbed in Chon Buri

A sole gunman riding a motorcycle with two side baskets robbed two security officials of a money truck out of Bt10 million in cash Sunday, police said.

Pol Maj Gen Kittipong Ngaomook, deputy commissioner of the Provincial Police Bureau 2, said the robber took place in front of a Lotus Express convenient store in Tambon Nong Khang Kok in Chon Buri’s Mueang district at 10:30 am.
Two staffs of the money truck, Wutthichai Prakorbsuk, 27, and Banharn Thiangtham, 29, were about to refill an ATM machine of Siam Commercial Bank in front of the store when the gunman forced them to hand over the money bags.
The two told police that the man fled off with four bags of Bt1,000 note and a bag of Bt500 notes. He rode a motorcycle, apparently modified as a mobile fresh foods selling stall with two side baskets,
The robbery was done in less than two minutes, Wutthichai told police.
