Two Thais injured by landmine along Cambodian border

Two Thai villagers were injured when one of them stepped on a landmine about 500 metres from the Cambodian border in Sakaew province Sunday.

Police said the two were looking for editable plants in the forests along the border when one of them stepped on a bomb trap.
Police said Sawang Khamsookdee, 59, had his left ankle blast off and Thongchai Phadoemphaophan, 36, was hit by bomb shrapnel at his face.
The two used a mobile phone to call a Tambon municipality for help. They were rushed to the Aranyaprathet hospital.
