Girl recounts smelling fire, alerting others

One of the girls who survived the dormitory blaze at the Pitakiatwittaya School in Chiang Rai recounted that she and a friend smelled the fire and alerted friends and a teacher.

Kwanjira Ananthaphet, 12, said she and a friend came out of their bedroom to use a toiler room and smell the fire.
She said she alerted a teacher and shouted to alert other girls.
She said most of them were sound as sleep and some did not believe her.
She said the fume came up to the second floor in just five minutes after she alerted others.
