At 5pm, Myanmar's State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi left Talad Talay Thai Hall in Samut Sakhon's Muang district after giving a speech for about half and hour to Myanmar nationals.
It appeared that the heavy rain had stopped her from meeting with tens of thousands of Myanmar workers waiting for her outside the hall.
Suu Kyi arrived in Bangkok in the afternoon to start her first day of official visit.
She will meet Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha on Friday afternoon after visiting Foreign Ministry in the morning. At the ministry, she will give a keynote speech entitled "Myanmar, Asean and the World : The Way Forward" for the audience of Thai students.
She will finish her visit on Saturday.
