National athletes from South Korea will wear "mosquito-free" uniforms when they are joining the Olympic Games in Brazil in August, according to news reports.

Yonhap news agency reported that South Korea's apparel firm Kolon Fashion Material announced today that it would provide the uniforms.
The so-called "MOS-LOCK" will be made out of fabric that is equipped with repellent that keeps mosquitoes carrying the Zika virus away. Brazil has reported cases of the mosquito-transmitted infection, the company said.
Brazil expects 500,000 tourists to the Summer Olympics amid fears of the Zika virus which is linked to thousands of birth defects in newborn babies. The World Health Organization declared the Zika virus outbreak a global emergency. Brazil's health minister recently issued a statement, saying that the country was safe.
