Police are investigating street fights posted on a YouTube account called “Fight Club Thailand” to punish those involved, city police chief Sanit Mahathaworn said yesterday.

Organising street fighting matches was against the Boxing Act B.E. 2542 (1999) and was punishable by one year in prison and/or a Bt20,000 fine, he said. Sanit added that such illegal activity of pitting strangers into fighting in public places must not be allowed to happen in Bangkok.
