Chainat officials caught in gambling raid

SEVERAL local leaders are now facing a probe over a raid that found them gambling inside the Tambon Khao Kaeo Administrative Organisation in Chainat province on Sunday.

A team of soldiers caught 12 local leaders including the organisation’s chief Anuchai Ketya and Khao Kaew kamnan Somneuk Ketya “red-handed” inside their office. They were allegedly caught with gambling equipment and cash.
Sapphaya district chief Prapas Wandia has now ordered a disciplinary probe into these local political-office holders. If found guilty, they will be dismissed.
All 12 suspects, except Anuchai and Somneuk, have admitted to the crime.
